Returning Individual Computer Components:

 

Separate computer components maybe returned within 15 days of the original invoice date provided:

  • No damage of any type to the component.
  • Original wrapping/boxes have been returned undamaged.
  •  Any software included with the original sale returned undamaged.
  •  Software packages have not been opened.
  •  You must have the original invoice from us with you in order to verify that you purchased the item from us.
  •  You must have your copy of the credit/debit card slip which will be needed to credit the funds back to your credit/debit card account.
  •  It is not ram memory.

A restocking fee will be charged.  Reimbursement of funds purchased by credit card will be refunded back to your credit card account once it has been verified that there is no damage and everything has been returned.

 

The following products are non-returnable:

  • Student Select License Agreements

  • Software Licenses
  •  Memory products not installed by Fort Technology Staff

  •  Sale or clearance marked items

  •  Software products manufactured by Quark

  • Any products other than unopened keyboards, mice, wireless network interface cards, and software (must be current models we carry in stock).

Special Order Products:

  •    Special Order products (products we do not normally sell or stock in the store) are non-returnable.
  •   Special order products have to be paid for before the order will be processed.

Custom Orders for software licenses and computer systems:

  •  cannot be canceled or altered once placed
  •  these products cannot be returned unless they are defective and the manufacturer’s warranty will apply.

Defective or D.O.A. Products:

 

All warranties offered on products sold by the Fort Technology Group are manufacturer's warranties, and Fort Technology Group’s warranty and repair policies for any given product will reflect manufacturer's stated policies.

  1. For most products, defective product can be returned to the Fort Technology Group and exchanged for an identical product for twenty one days from date of purchase. If an identical product is not available, a refund or exchange may be offered. This is subject to individual manufacturer's policies, and will require confirmation of defect by either Fort Technology Group or manufacturer's technicians, as applicable.
  2. Products returned as defective to the Fort Technology Group MUST be returned complete with all original packaging and accessories, including all cables, manuals, bags, foam packing material, etc. originally included. If you no longer have the packaging or are missing supplied components, you will have to contact the manufacturer directly for alternate repair or replacement arrangements.
  3. After 15 days, for products with missing components or packaging, or for certain products designated by the manufacturer as not being serviced by dealers, customers will be required to contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer's designated service centre directly for service. This must be done by the customer, or we will do it for you (where permitted) at standard shop labour rates ($80 per hour).
  4. Depending on manufacturer's policy, customers may be required to pay shipping to or from the manufacturer's repair facility.

We reserve the right to impose a 15% restocking fee per item if the product is not received by us in completely re-saleable condition. Examples of this would include if the box is opened, the product is damaged, or the box is marred with writing other than the shipping label.
